Dreamwork is a powerful practice of making the unconscious conscious.

Dreams are the interface between our conscious, waking selves and the unconscious—including the collective unconscious where archetypes, gods, and goddesses reside like deep riverbeds in psyche.

Dreams are the untamed territory that no amount of self-work, meditation, or medication can touch. Dreams are the wild animals that we cannot get away from no matter how civilized we consider ourselves to be.

If you ask five people what dreams are you will get five different answers. A neuroscientist might explain that dreams are simply the haphazard firings of the brain trying to synthesize information after a long day. A behaviorist might say that dreams are our attempts at solving problems we don’t know how to solve. Dreams might be all of this and more... including aspects of ourselves and anima mundi (the world's soul) attempting to come into consciousness to change our lives and the world.

In this class, dreams are treated as living experiences that, if we engage with them with attention and respect, have the potential to help our lives unfold in ways that are deeply aligned with Soul.

What you will learn:

  • How to work with dreams in a practical way

  • An experience of working with a dream of your own to experience the moment of "surprise" that we are looking for in dreamwork

  • Gestalt and Jungian and archetypal perspectives on dreamwork

  • What to do with specific dreams including:

    • recurring dreams

    • nightmares

    • "Big" or archetypal dreams

    • prophetic and visitation dreams
